Louis has worked in the field of mental health and chemical dependency for 30 yrs, providing services in various treatment modalities. His ability to speak Spanish has been a plus in many instances.  Louis graduated from NYU with a masters degree in social work.  He obtained his undergraduate degrees from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, N,Y in psychology/social work.   Louis attended the Ackerman Institute for the Family  as an intern and extern in couple and family therapy.  He is a master CASAC, OASAS trainer, holds a Family Development Credential,  Leadership Fellows certification and is an Overdose Prevention Dispensing trainer.

Louis has devoted his professional life to improve the quality of life for his clients by helping them develop insight, empowering and teaching them self sufficiency skills. He enjoys knowing that he has had a positive impact on an individual, family or group. It is important to convey to a client, “not how much I know, but how much I care” That caring has resulted in transforming the lives of many clients.
